1. What this covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information NileCV (nilecv.com) collects, how it's used, and your choices. NileCV is operated by the site administrator; for any inquiries, contact info@nilecv.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and password hash if you sign up with email/password (or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google).
• CV and job-posting content: the CV text and job-posting text you submit for analysis, and the AI's output (match score, suggestions, rewritten CV), so you can see your own past analyses.
• Payment information: if you subscribe to Pro, billing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider — NileCV never sees or stores your card details.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type) generated by normal web traffic.

3. How we use your information

• To run the CV analysis you request — your CV and job-posting text are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your match score and suggestions.
• To let you log in, see your own analysis history, and manage your subscription.
• To send you account-related email (sign-in links, password resets, receipts) via our email provider, Brevo.
• To improve NileCV's prompts and features over time, using aggregated, non-identifying patterns in how the tool is used.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your CV content with employers or third parties without your explicit action to do so.

4. Who we share data with

NileCV uses a small number of trusted service providers to operate: Anthropic (AI analysis), Lemon Squeezy (payment processing), Brevo (transactional email), and Render (hosting). Each processes only the data needed to perform its function, under their own privacy and security terms.

5. Data retention

Your account and analysis history are kept for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing info@nilecv.com.

7. Cookies

NileCV uses only essential session cookies needed to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children's privacy

NileCV is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as NileCV evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
